Chuck Diggle grew up on James Island, SC in a family-owned community newspaper publishing business. He spent nearly two decades working his way through every aspect of the Charleston-based business - pressroom, darkroom, ad production, ad sales, and news reporting. He then served for a decade as executive editor and associate publisher of the Moultrie News (and associated newspapers) in Mount Pleasant, SC.

He left that position in 2003 to publish the Joint Base Charleston military newspapers for the next 15 years. During this time, he also worked as a researcher for a government contractor in Washington, D.C. and he worked for several years in the property and building management field.

In early 2018, Chuck became Public Affairs Editor at Joint Base Charleston, SC.  A year and a half later, he was offered another contract job with the federal government, serving as a Partnership Specialist for the U.S. Census Bureau, travelling the state to make presentations to government entities and community organizations. After the 2020 Census was complete, he again worked in property and facilities management, sharpening his construction management skills in the process.

After considering real estate for many years, Chuck decided to put his varied experiences and deep roots in the Charleston area to work as a Realtor at Carolina One Real Estate, where he works on the Pauldine & Associates team.

Throughout nearly 40 years of work in newspapers, public relations and real estate management, Chuck has lived in Mount Pleasant and became deeply involved in the community, developing relationships throughout the Lowcountry. He served was Charter President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce in the town. He was elected and served for three years each as Vice President and then President of the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce. He also served a term on the Town of Mount Pleasant Planning Commission.

Chuck is a graduate of the College of Charleston with a degree in Business Administration and is also a graduate of the Charleston Chamber of Commerce’s “Leadership Charleston” program. He is an experienced Notary Public for the State of South Carolina - notarizing documents and performing wedding ceremonies for the past decade.
